BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: The Valley Players was a community theater group formed in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1962. Their goal was to master the essential elements of good play production and to elevate the cultural climate in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County area. The group was forced to disband in 1978 prompted by a lack of facilities for the theater and a fading unity within the group. SCOPE AND CONTENT: This collection was taken from two scrapbooks of the Valley Players. Each folder contains information on a play including a program, photographs and newspapers articles.
