BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE In 1988, Director/Actor Tim Frank returned home to Harrisonburg nurturing the dream of a permanent area community theatre. At once he found widespread support of his vision by community audiences and performers. Fundraising performances were held for family and friends in a barn on family property off Old Furnace Road, and the premiere season of the Valley Playhouse was held at Eastern Mennonite University's Strite Hall. SCOPE AND CONTENT: This collection contains programs and posters for the Valley Playhouse and Blackfriar Dinner Theatre.
