Scope & Content BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
The collection contains correspondence from the Varner family in Shenandoah, Rockingham and Page counties during the 1800's.

SCOPE AND CONTENT:
This collection contains letters and documents pertaining to the Varner/Verner family, namely Barbara, Ellen, John and Emanuel, and spanning the years 1802-1869. The following names are associated in the letters: Kibler, Landstreet, Huffman, Beydler, Carter, Kagey, Gains, Forrer, Almond, Wine, Amizz, Abott, Speezel.

This collection also contains several items placed in other HRHS collections, including a Rockingham Register, November 29, 1861 into HRHS-91; Atlas Almanac, 1831 into HRHS-67; Broadside Horse Show, no date, into HRHS-43.
