Scope & Content BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:
Lester Baugher served in WWI as Hdq. Detach 5th Grand Div. and in June, 1919 was located in Brest, France.
He was born in Rockingham County on March 19, 1895 and died January 28, 1987 in Pennsville NJ. Mr. Baugher was one of the first Rockingham County citizens to enlist in the Army during World War I.

SCOPE AND CONTENT:
Letter and card from Lester Baugher while stationed in France during WWI. Included is a photograph postcard of Lester Baugher describing his clothes as a work uniform and heavy hobnail shoes.
