Scope & Content BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: George Wilson Homan was born February 7, 1910 in Harrisonburg, VA. He graduated from Harrisonburg city schools and attended VPI. He later was a salesman for Lincoln-Miller Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge. He served in the army during WWII and participated in the D-Day invasion in Normandy.

SCOPE AND CONTENT: Personal belongings of George W. Homan to include vintage cookbooks from 1892 and 1928; photos of Wilson Homan; booklet dated 1892 with home remedies; a funeral card for Mr. Homan's aunt dated September 2, 1916; a letter Mr. Homan received from President Franklin D. Roosevelt when he served in the army in WWII; five copies of the periodical named TAJ from Harrisonburg High School in 1926, 1927, and 1928. Transferred from museum acc. # 91.12, # 86.13 and #87.02.
